Toutefois l'espoir de voir un jeu Stargate jouable n'est pas perdu, puisque la même société annonce travailler sur un second projet: «Stargate Resistance», un jeu de tir à la première personne.
Le jeu sort début 2010, mais ne connait pas le succès escompté, beaucoup de fans considérant qu'il ne s'agit là que d'une vaine tentative de vendre un produit non finalisé, et à raison quand on voit le faible contenu proposé à la sortie. Les bugs à répétition, le manque de cartes, des ennemis trop limités, les soucis pour se connecter sur le serveur vont entraîner un bouche à oreille dévastateur entre les fans qui sont aussi rebutés par le prix demandé (15€), trop cher vu la qualité du produit. Tout cela provoque un échec cuisant du jeu. Pire, il ne tiendra pas un an et les serveurs seront définitivement fermés le 15 janvier 2011. Ainsi, en plus de voir un nouveau jeu partir en fumée, les fans ont la désagréable impression de s'être fait flouer car le mode solo qui reste est nettement insuffisant.
