EXT-ABYDOS, TEMPLE- DAY
[There are a temple on the desert and two moons in the sky]
INT- ABYDOS, TEMPLE, STARGATE ROOM- DAY
[An Abydonian kneels down in front of the stargate, then stands up and begins to clean it. All around him, things begin to vibrate. The stargate is activated. The Abydonian runs away and spills his bucket of water. Wasif goes through the wormhole]
WASIF
Very unexpected. Tingly.
[James arrives, screaming. Catherines arrives too]
CATHERINE
Did you guys see those?
JAMES
What the bloody hell was that?
CATHERINE
I think they were stars.
WASIF
Do you know where we are?
CATHERINE
No idea.
[Catherine walks into the room]
CATHERINE
Look, this room is Egyptian.
JAMES
We just need to find our bearings. Make a...
[The vortex is deactivated]
JAMES
What the... Why didn't it stay open?
WASIF
There is no connection. Nothing.
[Catherine discovers DHD]
CATHERINE

JAMES

[Catherine tries to get the DHD to work, but without success]
JAMES

CATHERINE

[She takes the notebook and taps on the corresponding symbols]

[She taps the first symbol that clicks on the stargate]
WASIF
At least getting back will be a little less exhausting.
JAMES

CATHERINE

JAMES

[James, gun in hand, walks around the room. The others follow him]

[Catherine is still studying the notebook]
CATHERINE
No. Nothing yet.
[The Abydonian hides behind a column and drops his bucket. Wasif runs to retrieve the bucket]
JAMES
Cat?
[James finds nazi's corpse]
JAMES
Do you have any idea what kind of danger you've put us in?
CATHERINE
How was I supposed to know the sequence here would be different? It's not my journal.
JAMES
You didn't think to check before dragging us along...
[Wasif looks at them arguing then clears his throat]
JAMES and CATHERINE

WASIF

JAMES
Footprints and a dead Nazi. You?
WASIF
I found another bucket.
JAMES
Wasif, I swear...
CATHERINE
Come on, let's go.
JAMES
Cat, wait.
[Wasif throws the bucket on the floor. Catherine approaches the throne]
JAMES

[Catherine pulls out her gun and hides behind the throne. James joins her]
JAMES

[James looks at Catherine's gun]
JAMES
Do you even know how to use that thing, other than clobbering people over the head with it?
[Wasif, weapon in hand, continues to explore the area]
CATHERINE
I learned to shoot when I was 15 years old.
JAMES

CATHERINE

[Wasif has his hands up and looks terrified]
CATHERINE

[The female soldier, Serqet, growls, Wasif is even more terrified]
JAMES

CATHERINE

[In the background behind a curtain, Wasif can be seen getting hit. James and Catherine are hiding. Then they watch what happens, and Catherine runs away]
JAMES
Here we go.
[She hides behind a column]
JAMES
Wasif, you about, mate? Can't seem to find you. Just follow the sound of my voice.
CATHERINE

[She makes a sign to him to be quiet and hide]
JAMES

[James winks at him. Aset's bodyguard, Serqet, approaches. She snarls. She aims her spear at Catherine. Catherine narrowly dodges the shot. James moves and hits her with his foot from behind. Rings of transport activate. Catherine helps James to fight with Serqet]
JAMES (touching Catherine's chest as he tries to get up)
I'm sorry, i'm sorry.
[The fight continues and Catherine's hairpin falls to the ground. Wasif arrives and brandishes his weapon. He tries to shoot but the shots don't go off. Serqet grabs Wasif by the throat and throws him against the wall. She aims her spear at James. He raises his hands in the air. Catherine uses a stick and activates the transport rings. Serqet grunts and is taken away. Wasif shoots into the void]
JAMES
Thank you, Wasif. Great shot.
CATHERINE
I got her.
JAMES
How?
CATHERINE
Hit her with this.
JAMES
Hold on to it.
WASIF
What was that? No women back home can fight like that.
[Catherine gives him a look]
JAMES
No man, either.
JAMES
You... You had to be a hero.
CATHERINE
You needed saving. Okay, what was that? "Over here. Listen to the sound of my voice."
JAMES
It's called strategy.
CATHERINE

[The Abydonian touches Catherine's shoulder. The group takes aim, but the Abydonian invites them to follow him]

[James throws a "boo!" at the Abydonian. The Abydonian flinches in fear. James is proud of himself]

[The Abydonian speaks in his language and invites them to follow him again]
JAMES

WASIF

[Wasif and James want to leave but the Abydonian tells them not to go in that direction]
JAMES

CATHERINE

[Catherine slaps James]
JAMES

[Transport rings activate again]
JAMES
Here we go again. We need to go. Now!
[The Abydonian grabs James, James gets angry at him]
JAMES
What the bloody hell is wrong with you? Wasif, help me.
[James and Wasif wear the Abydonian. Catherine follows them elsewhere]
JAMES
Thanks us later.
[Serqet picks up Catherine's hairpin from the floor and looks at it]
